Despite eliminating smoking, and a new mini-dining room Volpe's still smells of cigarettes thanks to decades of such and an "outside room" where you are allowed to smoke. The "new menu" seems smaller than ever, typical bar food. Had hot wings which were dried out but a tasty Philly cheesesteak (with Wiz!)
Table service was fine but don't be fooled: this is the same old Volpe's at its dive bar finest. -

Volpes has some very good food, their wings are really good and their staff is generally very accommodating. The beer selection is decent but some selections seem to kick very early.

This is a great atmosphere to watch a sports game! The crowd is awesome but you need to understand this is a shot and beer bar nothing more nothing less! Wings are on point

This was a Saturday staple for me and my friends in college. We spent so many days playing classic rock on the jukebox and downing pickleback shots and pitchers of beer. We LOVE Volpe's! Once our favorite way to kick back on the weekend, now it's the nostalgic must-go bar for Homecoming weekends. (Forget the Tavern, this is our spot!)
ALSO - if you're gonna make comments about the atmosphere, or the cigarette smoke, or the regulars, like I see a lot of people making - it's a freakin dive bar in Pennsylvania where you go to have a beer or a burger and watch the game. The attitude of some of these reviews... What on Earth are you expecting? Five star dining? Relax.
